Bonecerto: Complete

I finished the Trombone Concerto today.  Consider it boned.  (I should call the piece just that: “Trombone Concerto: Consider it Boned.”)  I delivered the score and parts just a few minutes ago (aren’t PDF parts great?!), and even sent along a MIDI demo.  It’s good to be done, but now the wait starts — the wait to actually hear the thing.  Kind of freaks me out a little.

If you want to see the score and/or the (printable) solo part, they’re on this page.

I’m heading to Atlanta on Thursday to work with MAYWE and the Georgia State University band. That’ll be a fun trip. For now, though, all I can think about is what kind of celebratory cocktail I’m having tonight.

Congratulations on finishing the concerto. Interesting selection of instruments. I write as your Number 1 British Fan and I have to say you've inspired me to get back to composing again - a percussion piece for my (talented) son.
Look forward to hearing the finished piece.

Boy, just think of all the fun you could have titling the sequel!
